The Faux SeriesA collection of boxes whose surface and shape play an intricate deceitful game. Recomposed BambooA bamboo stem is split, flipped and joined back together to become the legs for a stool. The bamboo loses its internal stress and becomes stronger by cutting and gluing the split parts. Hiding Vases How to hide a vase and let flowers play the leading role? Wood CrackerOrdinary pine wood becomes malleable whilst pressurized in a controlled atmosphere. After pressurization it is hard and durable like tropical hardwood. On the SurfaceInterwoven's editor in chief Anniina Koivu invited product designer Chris Kabel to write an article series on his wide ranging collection of personal encounters with the finish and its applications.   Blue Sky LampThe lamp re-creates the light of the sky on a sunny day. The blue color of the lamp is caused by exactly the same physical effect that happens when light from the sun enters the earth's atmosphere.
