︎︎︎ Recomposed Bamboo
A bamboo stem is split, flipped and joined back together to become the legs for a stool. The bamboo loses its internal stress and becomes stronger by cutting and gluing the split parts. This technique of creating new bamboo profiles was conceived during a bamboo residency with crafts organization PACC in the South of China in 2016. This stool was developed for U-Joints, a show on joints presented during the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2018.
