︎︎︎ Wood Cracker

Ordinary pine wood becomes malleable whilst pressurized in a controlled atmosphere. After pressurization it is hard and durable like tropical hardwood. The EPFL+ECAL lab in Lausanne invited me to investigate the possibilities of their experimental wood densifier. I thought it would be cool to use walnut instead of pine to make a cannibalistic nutcracker. So that the tree provides the wood to make the tool that allows us to eat its own offspring.
