Basket Club asked me to do something sunny for German outdoor furniture brand Dedon. Dedons furniture pieces are woven with their special extruded materials, often made of recycled polypropylene. This material is sensuous and soft, with really nice colors.

I wanted to celebrate these qualities by turning the material into a fashion accessory where material and details play an even bigger role than in furniture upholstery. Since the emoji for this edition was ☀️, I decided on frames for sunglasses. I used several braiding techniques related to bobbin lace to create the frames. I also made a few frames with rattan.
