WireI twisted one wire to become a candlestick for Danish design house HAY.   Here comes the sunDotted with optical filters, prisms and reflectors, this façade for the extension of a high school in Amsterdam talks to pupils about light in a playful and immersive way.  NodesThis bamboo ladder required no building plan or drawing. Fogo FindsCast bronze key fobs for the rooms of the Fogo Island Inn on Fogo Island, a very special island in front of the coast of Newfoundland in Canada. BentAluminum sheet is perforated with a pattern that allows the shapes to be bent up or down. When bent up the surface catches the (sun)light and bent down the surface is shaded. Wood RingA 10 meter long wood beam is cut in a hundred tapered pieces that, when put together, make a circular bench. Foil FlowersFor the one year anniversary of their shop in Beijing, Asia's number one high-end fashion store Lane Crawford asked me to design something impressive and decorative. Lace MapA gigantic city map of Bruges, lace capital of Belgium, where streets, alleyways, street and as well as monuments and street names are knitted into a lace pattern onto which tourists can find their way. Fence BenchCity bench for the city of Nijverdal in the shape of a farm fence that pivots so you can sit opposite or next to each other. SeamA special kind of woven polypropylene is tailored to become a bag in the shape of chair and a bench. BubbliciousThe glass bubble is pinched with a set of pliers so that a clamp can hold the glass and pushes it against the lamp fitting inside the glass bubble or lets the shade rotate around the clamp ends.
